Chicago Fire vs Minnesota United | How to Watch and Availability Report
Chicago Fire vs DC United

Last weekend at Soldier Field, the Fire only managed a goalless draw against D.C. United. Although the Fire certainly weren’t at their best on the night, the performance certainly warranted more than a point.

This has been the story of the Fire’s season thus far. Sitting 12th in the Eastern Conference with just 1 win from their first 5 league matches, the results have not truly reflected how the Fire have played this season.

The Fire have been in every game that they have played thus far, but have struggled to maintain 100% intensity for the duration of the 90 minutes. Lapses of concentration and attention to detail have led to the Fire letting leads slip and giving up points that were rightfully theirs.

The Fire will most certainly have to be fully switched on from kickoff until the final whistle if they want any chance at beating the in-form Minnesota United.

The injury problem for the Fire persists as I am again reporting on the omission of Federico Navarro, Jairo Torres, and Victor Bezerra. Xherdan Shaqiri has been dubbed as questionable ever since his injury against Philadelphia, so Fire fans once again will have to wait until tomorrow night to see if the Swiss international is included.

As for Minnesota, they are still without midfielder Emanuel Reynoso who has been missing due to “personal reasons”/suspension. Other omissions include defenders Bakaye Dibassy and Ryan Jiba through injury.

The match will be streamed for free on Apple TV. Kevin Egan will return to the broadcast booth.
