Chicago Fire vs. Vancouver Whitecaps: How to Watch and Availability Report
After a disappointing 3-0 defeat in Los Angeles on Saturday, the Fire are back in action against the Vancouver Whitecaps tonight. Saturday’s result against the Galaxy marked back-to-back losses for the Fire in which the Fire conceded three goals.
After crashing out of the Leagues Cup in the Round of 32 against Club America, the Fire have so far been unable to return to the glorious form that they were experiencing in the lead-up to the cup. Out of both cups and with just nine games left in the MLS season, it is crucial that the team can re-find its form and secure their spot in the playoffs.
As for Vancouver, they too are on the cusp of qualifying for the postseason as they sit seventh in the west, just two points ahead of tenth-placed Minnesota. After also crashing out of the Leagues Cup in the Round of 32, the Whitecaps will certainly be throwing everything that they have into securing their place in the postseason.
In terms of availability for tonight’s match, Chris Mueller, Javi Casas, and Victor Bezerra are all out injured while Gaston Gimenez will not feature after picking up a red card against the Galaxy on Saturday.
For Vancouver, Thomas Hasal, Luis Martins, and Andres Cubas are all unavailable for selection.
