FC Cincinnati vs. Chicago Fire: How to Watch and Availability Report
It is really a tale of two drastically different teams as the Fire come into this match as massive underdogs. Although both Midwestern outfits have qualified for the Round of 16 in the U.S. Open Cup, FC Cincinnati have won five of their last five league games, whereas the Fire are winless in their last three.
The Fire will need to massively improve upon their recent league form if they want to have any chance of getting points in Cincinnati, who have lost just one match so far this season.
In terms of players available for tonight’s match, Carlos Terán, Mauricio Pineda, Chris Mueller, and Sergio Oregel Jr. all remain sidelined by injury. After picking up a head injury after just 25 minutes in the team’s last match against Toronto, starting goalkeeper Chris Brady has been dubbed as questionable for tonight. Full-back Jonathan Dean also remains a doubt for tonight’s match. Fire II fullback Charlie Ostrem will be available for selection after signing a short-term loan.
For Cincinnati, Sergio Santos and Brenner are out injured, while Stiven Jiménez is playing for the USYNT in the Dream Cup in Japan.
