Player Ratings: Chicago Fire 0, Inter Miami 0
Lionel Messi and Inter Miami came to town, but despite end-to-end action, had to settle for a 0-0 draw with Gregg Berhalter's Chicago Fire. A solid all-around performance from the Men in Red enabled them to come away with a point, though both teams probably felt like they could have won the game.
We take a look at how the Fire's individuals performed on the day.

Starting XI (4-3-3)
Chris Brady (8.5) — Officially the man of the match according to the team and broadcast, Brady got his first clean sheet of 2025. Huge performance, including two saves against Messi.
Andrew Gutman (8) — The 28-year-old continued his fine start to the season. Excellent on both sides of the ball and kept Miami's right side quiet.

Carlos Terán (8.5) — Arguably the Colombian's best defensive performance in a Fire shirt to date. Took a lot of risks, and they paid off to contribute to the shutout.
Jack Elliott (7.5) — It was always going to be difficult for Elliott to be at his best, playing through injury and having not trained all week. Nonetheless, he was solid and navigated the last half hour on a yellow card.
Omari Glasgow (8.5) — The Fire's best player in the first half. In what was by far the biggest and most challenging test of his career so far, Glasgow passed with flying colors, starring in his new position as a right back.

Mauricio Pineda (8) — Pineda's presence was felt from the opening whistle, and while he lived life on the edge playing 79 of his 80 minutes on a booking, he got the job done.
Sergio Oregel Jr. (7.5) — The homegrown continues to exceed all expectations this season. Though he had a few nervy moments, including a giveaway in front of goal and a foul on Messi just outside the box, Oregel was largely solid.
Brian Gutiérrez (8) — Though not at 100% fitness yet, Guti was dominant in all areas except in front of goal. The Fire are a much better team with him back on the field, and will jump to another level when he's at his best.

Jonathan Bamba (6) — The Designated Player got into the right positions, but just couldn't convert. His misses cost the Fire two points, but it's nonetheless a good sign he was able to create chances with his runs in behind.
Philip Zinckernagel (6.5) — Zinckernagel came close twice but otherwise struggled to get himself into good positions. Not a bad performance all things considered, but disappeared once Jordi Alba came on.
Hugo Cuypers (6.5) — Decent performance without the ball from Cuypers, but the Fire couldn't create many chances going forward so his impact in front of goal was minimal.
Substitutes
Maren Haile-Selassie (7) — Good impact off the bench for Haile-Selassie, who came close to scoring from a different role in attacking midfield.
Djé D'Avilla (6.5) — Tough game to come into for an MLS debut, but some promising signs. More to come.
Rominigue Kouamé (NR) — Didn't see much action after coming on in the 80th minute.
Kellyn Acosta (NR) — Only got five minutes after surprisingly not making the XI. Now has to win back a place in the team.
Tom Barlow (NR) — Just two touches in a five-minute cameo.
Manager
Gregg Berhalter (9) — The head coach's approach and game plan really resembled his approach to the USMNT's World Cup match against England. Both ended in 0-0 draws and kept the big stars quiet, and the team did enough to win... and in both cases, just lacked that finishing touch.
